Arlington, Virginia, December 21, 2017 – eGlobalTech (eGT), an IT solutions, cybersecurity, and management-consulting firm, today announced the passing of its founder, President, and CEO, Sonya Jain. Jain passed away at 54 years old on Sunday, December 17, 2017, after a long battle with cancer.
Sonya studied at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, where she was one of eight women in her class. Since founding eGT in 2004, Jain successfully grew the company to more than 300 employees. During that time, she was repeatedly recognized for her exemplary leadership abilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and philanthropic efforts. She was a 2017 recipient of the Women Who Mean Business Washington Business Journal award. She was also honored with a Women in Technology (WIT) Leadership Award and a SmartCEO 2016 Washington Future 50 award.

Sonya is survived by her husband, Sanjiv Jain, and two daughters, Ritika and Eisha.
